I had the opportunity and the privilege to spend some time with Professor Frank Dick today (17 Nov 2015) in an interview to get his thoughts on the topic of human performance and how to get the best out of people and teams. Frank is one of the best coaches the world has seen.
He is the current High Performance Director for SASCOC (South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee) and is the consultant to South Africa’s top coaches and athletes ahead of next year’s Rio Olympics and Paralympics. Frank is also President of the European Athletics Coaches Association, Member of the IAAF Coaches Commission, as well as Chair (and architect) of the IAAF Academy.
It was a great opportunity to hear how he coaches athletes of all ages and his guiding principles on how to get the best out of every athlete or the team he coaches.
I look forward to writing all the lessons from the interview as part of the book. You can learn more about Frank’s work here: http://www.frankdick.co.uk.
Thank you Frank for the time and insights.
